We haven't seen much of Isha Sharvani after her debut in Subhash Ghai's Kisna, except bit appearances in Good Boy Bad Boy and U Me Aur Hum, and a biscuit commercial with Hrithik Roshan.

But the young actress-dancer is back with Zoya Akhtar's Luck By Chance, making another 'debut'.

In the Farhan Akhar-Konkona Sen Sharma film, Isha plays a newcomer, making her debut opposite Hrithik Roshan. Isha tells Nithya Ramani more:

We've barely seen you since your debut film, Kisna. Where have you been?

I have predominantly been in Kerala dancing with my mother's -- Daksha Seth -- dance troop.

How did Luck By Chance happen?

The casting director approached me. It was supposed to be my second film after Kisna. But it got delayed, so we started shooting only last April. Zoya asked me if I was still interested and I said yes.

What did you like about the script?

Zoya gave me a bound script and I found the characters very likable. It read beautifully. It was funny, lovely and had a heart. I am very excited about the film. I haven't seen it yet. I missed the screening because I was in Kerala.

You are a very good dancer. Do you have any great dancing scenes here?

I have a song called Bawre with Hrithik. It's a Rajasthani folk dance but it doesn't have good dance moves.

Hrithik is a great dancer, no doubt. He practices a lot and makes himself perfect.

This is Zoya's first film. How was she as a director?

She was great, she didn't seem like a first-time director. I rehearsed all my scenes with her. It helps me perform better if I am prepared.

She explained the scenes very well. She would be involved and passionate with a clear vision. She always knew what she wanted.

What about the rest of the cast?

It is always a pleasure to work with established stars. It's a great learning experience. You get to learn a lot by just looking at them. They have a great knowledge of cinema and are so lovable.

Dimpleji would give me a lot of cues. Nobody would expect an actress of her stature to give cues.

Do you regret doing Kisna, as your career did not take off because of that?

No. Life goes on. I did Kisna when I too young. I was too naive and dumb. But I have no regrets. I don't mind if I don't become a great actress but I want to grow as a performing artist.

I did other films (Good Boy Bad Boy, U Me Aur Hum) and learnt a lot from them. Just living in the city after being brought up in a small village in Kerala was a learning experience.
